Board of Member Duties

President – 3-year term
The President is responsible for establishing the legal and financial framework of the organization, including the selection of the Board of Directors, drafting Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws, and securing 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service. The primary duties of the President include overseeing the overall operations of the organization and its Board, convening regularly scheduled Board meetings, and presiding over these meetings or arranging for other members to do so in the following order: Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The President shall also establish committees as needed to support organizational functions.

Additionally, the President shall serve as the Assistant Treasurer. The President will maintain communication and coordinate with the City of Woodland Park’s Director of Parks and Recreation and City Manager. The President is also expected to attend City Council meetings in Woodland Park and participate in Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meetings.

Vice President – 2-year term
The Vice Chair shall perform the duties and chair committees as assigned by the President. Additionally, the Vice Chair will assume the responsibilities of the President if necessary.

Secretary – 2-year term
The Secretary shall be responsible for maintaining records of Board actions, including overseeing the compilation of minutes at all Board meetings, distributing meeting notices, providing copies of the minutes and agenda to each Board member, and ensuring the proper maintenance of corporate records.

Treasurer – 3-year term
The Treasurer shall be responsible for co-managing the organization’s funds, providing financial reports at each Board meeting, assisting in the development of the annual budget, ensuring timely filing of all tax returns, and making financial information accessible to Board members and the public as required.

Member at Large
Member #1 will serve a three-year term, while Members at Large #2 and #3 will serve two-year terms. The Member at Large shall support the responsibilities of the Board and any committee(s) to which they are appointed.

NOTED

All members of the PAC Board, including the Member at Large, are required to organize and oversee at least one Outdoor Pickleball session during the outdoor season at Meadow Wood Sports Complex. The outdoor season runs from April 1st through mid-October. 

Additionally, the President and Treasurer must be residents of Teller County year-round.
